Its Economics, Advantages and Importance
The regulations today say that HALON should not be released into the atmosphere. HALON is no longer manufactured in many countries. It is important to Reclaim and Recycle for critical need where there is no replacement agent available or where no replacement can be used because of the volume and weight import.
Where systems are old and where the HALON has remained in the systems for five or more years, it is financially viable to Recycle your HALON for system inspection.
By recycling and reclaiming your HALON, the moisture present, the corrosive particles that would have occurred due to the aging of the systems, and the other foreign particles are removed.
By reclamation, the fire suppression ability is increased and it is in equal standards of newly manufactured HALON. It is a financially sound investment to Recycle your HALON because this HALON can be restored to its newly manufactured condition after your cylinders are inspected, cleaned and system integrity restored.
And, prior to refilling of the Recycled HALON, your system and cylinders are inspected, examined and hydro tested to ensure a long term performance.
